Microscope in the earliest development, since the sense of sight is one of the most vital senses in our life because it makes us see everything and it aids information about the environment that we are apart of. To trace back in our ancient world, our ancestors started to develop instruments like microscope, telescope, magnifying glass, and spectacles. “The Founders of the Microscope” The one who founded the microscope was the Janssen’s Family. Hans Janssen the father of Zacharias Janssen made the first microscope, but it was given to Zach in, Middleburg, Holland, around the year 1595, and Zach took over for the production. First compound microscopes was simply a tube with lenses and the magnification ranges from 3x to 9x, depending on the size of the diaphragm opening.

In the year around 1660 another chemist, inventor, and physicist named Robert Hooke develop and improved on early compound microscope in micrographia in 1665, he coined the word cell to to describe the features of plant tissue “cork from the bark of an oak tree” by the use of the microscope. He put his extensive mathematical knowledge in formulating the theory of planetary movement, which provided a basis for Sir Isaac Newton’s theories of gravitation. In 1667 he discovered the role of oxygenation in the respiratory system. Anton Van Leeuwenhoek in the year 1632-1723, Leeuwenhoek made simple one lens microscopes. He was not the first person to build a microscope, but the microscopes that he did build were the best ones for that time period. Leeuwenhoek was the first person to describe bacteria from ‘teeth scrapings’, protozoans from ‘pond water’, helped to prove the theory of blood circulation. he gaine his inspiration from Hooke’s Micrographia, and it became broader until other inventors discover it.
